He retired as Professor of Microbiology and Director of Agribusiness Development at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), one of India's premier agricultural institutions. Throughout his career, Dr. Murugesan has led multidisciplinary research and innovation programs funded by national and international agencies, mobilising research grants exceeding ₹160 crore. His work spans sustainable agriculture, food safety, biotechnology, environmental remediation, microbial technologies, and value-added agricultural products. He has filed seven patents and developed numerous technologies successfully commercialised for the benefit of farmers and agribusinesses. A recognised leader in agribusiness incubation, he transformed TNAU's Agribusiness Development Centre into one of India's leading agricultural incubation platforms. He currently serves as CEO of the Krishnamurthi International Agricultural Development Foundation (KIADEF), Board Member of the Indian Society for Certification of Organic Products (ISCOP), and Scientific Advisor to several biotechnology and environmental technology companies. Scientific & Environmental AdvisorEnvironmental Remediation & Advanced Materials An internationally recognised environmental scientist with over 15 years of research experience in environmental remediation, emerging contaminants, advanced materials, and sustainable resource management. He serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Global Innovative Centre for Advanced Nanomaterials, University of Newcastle, Australia. His research spans environmental risk assessment, advanced remediation technologies, soil biology, environmental microbiology, microplastics, nanoplastics, and bioplastics. Dr. Thavamani has authored more than 110 scientific publications, achieved an h-index of 35, secured approximately AUD 10 million in research funding, and supervised numerous PhD and Master's students. He has contributed to major international research initiatives and serves on grant review panels including the Australian Research Council and the European Research Council, in addition to acting as an invited speaker at leading scientific forums and Academic/Guest Editor for internationally recognised journals. Vice President · Geology & ExplorationMineral Exploration & Resource Evaluation A highly accomplished Mineral Exploration Geologist with more than 40 years of international experience in mineral exploration, project evaluation, and exploration management across Australia, Southeast Asia, Africa, North and South America. A Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (FAusIMM), Malcolm holds Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Science degrees in Geology. Throughout his distinguished career, he has successfully led multidisciplinary exploration teams, designed and implemented regional exploration programmes, and evaluated a wide range of mineral deposits. His extensive experience in Laos includes senior exploration leadership roles, where he was responsible for planning and managing exploration campaigns, establishing generative exploration programmes, and mentoring local geological teams. As In-House Consulting Geologist for ILGV, he provides strategic geological guidance for the company's critical minerals portfolio, including rare earth elements (REE), base metals, precious metals, and other strategic mineral projects. His responsibilities include geological due diligence, exploration strategy, resource evaluation, technical reporting, and supporting international investors in the assessment and development of mining opportunities in Lao PDR.

As Founder and Owner of Riccardo Garment Co. Ltd., he has built one of Laos' established export-oriented garment manufacturing companies, employing over 400 professionals and supplying workwear to leading European markets. He has also developed long-standing relationships with government institutions, serving as a key supplier to the Ministry of Public Security of Laos on large-scale procurement projects. Since 2011, Mr. Richards has owned a licensed iron ore mining concession in Thailand, providing direct experience in mineral asset development, resource management, and international commodity markets. At ILGV, he supports strategic investments and international partnerships across mining, critical minerals, manufacturing, and industrial sectors, contributing his regional network and commercial expertise.
SSSuresh Selvaraj, MSc, MPT
Director · Community Relations & Social DevelopmentCommunity Engagement, Social Development & Government Coordination Suresh Selvaraj brings nearly three decades of international experience in community engagement, social development, government liaison, and program management across some of the world's most complex operating environments, including conflict-affected regions, humanitarian settings, disaster-response operations, and long-term development programs in Laos, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Lebanon, and Jordan. From 2015 to 2023, Suresh served as Rehabilitation Project Manager with COPE Laos, working in close partnership with the Lao Ministry of Health. During his eight-year tenure, he provided technical and managerial oversight across five national centres, developed strong working relationships with government authorities, led mobile outreach programs serving remote provinces, and significantly expanded community access to rehabilitation services. His responsibilities included feasibility assessments, procurement, budget management, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, institutional coordination, and stakeholder engagement. His extensive experience working directly with Lao government institutions provides ILGV with valuable local knowledge and an established understanding of the relationships, protocols, and community dynamics essential for effective project implementation in Lao PDR. Earlier in his career, Suresh held international assignments with Handicap International (Humanity & Inclusion) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Lebanon, Jordan, South Sudan, and Yemen, working with displaced and conflict-affected communities, establishing multidisciplinary field teams, and coordinating with local and national authorities. For ILGV, Suresh supports community relations, social development, government coordination, stakeholder engagement, and the company's social licence to operate. He holds an MSc in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Southampton, a Master's in Orthopedic Physiotherapy from Vinayaka Missions University, and a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. He is fluent in English, Tamil, and French, with conversational proficiency in Lao.
